Whew! Tiring day. Went to a friend’s house, who has a pool. We don’t get to go anywhere often, much less go swimming, so we had a lot of fun. Mitch carried me around in the water and spun around until I got the giggles. It’s not often you get a horsey-back ride when you’re a grownup. So that was fun.
Preparing to write a review of Rascal’s OG. We smoked it at the pool – among lots of other stuff – and it fit in very well. I’m also enjoying this Candy Apple dab oil a lot, enough that I’m tempted to review it for Smokefax even though we usually only base our reviews of strains on the flowers. If I ever see any Candy Apple bud for sale I’ll be ALL OVER that shit.
My paintings are up for sale at Etsy as well as Bookoo now. The shop is called ; anyone reading this who likes my art and has some spare money, check it out? (Not that I think anyone is really reading this, but it’s worth a shot.)
Last night we were also at the same person’s house. Didn’t swim really, but we brought over a package of Apple Beer, some Applegate hot dogs, bratwursts, buns, ketchup, mustard, a cherry pie, plus some of Mitch’s favorite crackers and a wedge of Jarlsburg cheese. I also had a chocolate cupcake and a slice of cheesecake for Mitch and I just because. So we grilled the dogs and brats and smoked out and had a nice little poolside party. Then today, like I said before, swimming. It’s been a nice little break. We don’t do things like this often. Hopefully we will get to go visit her more often in the future, even if I can’t afford to buy the food for everyone again for a while.
I am way more tired than I should be for the amount of swimming I did. Shows how long it’s been I guess, and how out of shape I am. I used to swim all the time when I was younger. Alas. I’ll have to do something about that. At least I did it. I feel refreshed and revitalized spiritually even though my body is tired and wants to rest. I feel sure this will come out the next time I do art, somehow, though maybe not in a literal sense of me wanting to paint water or something. We’ll see, but I can just tell it’s going to influence the resonance of the next creative thing I do (that isn’t Zentangle or something like that, which is fun but too regimented for this watery energy to really influence much except maybe when drawing the string or something.)
Just for the fun of it, here are some older sketches, just to close out this entry.
